What this list is

Every tool below earned its place the same way: someone signed in, used the catalogue, and saved it. The number beside each row is the count of distinct members who did that, and the bar shows how far a tool sits from the current leader.

That makes this a different animal from the editorial 'best AI tools' lists you have read elsewhere. Nobody sat down and decided that one tool deserves to beat another. The order is whatever the audience produced, and it stays that way even when the result is surprising.

How the ranking works

One member, one vote per tool. Bookmarking again does not add a second point, and the count is the number of distinct accounts rather than the number of clicks. Signing in with Google is required, which is what keeps the numbers meaningful.

When two tools have the same number of saves, the verified one is placed higher. Tools whose product has shut down are removed from the ranking entirely, however many votes they hold — a leaderboard that sends you to a dead website is worse than no leaderboard. The page recalculates daily.

What this ranking is not

It is not a measure of quality, and it is not a measure of global popularity. It measures one thing precisely: what this particular audience chose to save. A tool with millions of users worldwide can sit below a niche one that happened to resonate here.

The sample is also modest. A few hundred members produced these votes, so the difference between position 30 and position 40 is closer to noise than to a verdict. Read the top of the list as a signal and the tail as a long list of things worth a look — not as a scoreboard accurate to the decimal.

How to move a tool up

Sign in, find the tool, bookmark it. That is the entire mechanism. If something you rely on is missing from this page, it is not because we judged it — it is because nobody here has saved it yet, and one bookmark is enough to put it on the board.

Frequently asked questions

Can a company pay to appear higher?

No. There is no paid placement anywhere in this ranking and no advertiser can buy a position. The only input is the number of members who bookmarked a tool, and we do not adjust it by hand.

How often does the list change?

The page is rebuilt daily. A bookmark you add today is counted in the ranking within a day rather than instantly, which is a deliberate trade for a page that stays fast for everyone.

Why is a famous tool low on the list, or missing?

Because the ranking counts saves on AI Dude and nothing else. Global user numbers, funding and press coverage have no effect here. A tool everybody has heard of can rank low simply because our members have not bookmarked it.

Why only 50 tools?

Below that point most entries share the same handful of votes, and a ranking where dozens of tools are tied is not telling you anything. The full catalogue is browsable separately if you want the rest.

What happens to a tool that shuts down?

It drops out of the leaderboard even if it collected a lot of saves while it was alive. We check tool websites periodically and mark the ones that have gone; those are excluded here.

Do I need an account to vote?

Yes, sign-in with Google is required. Without it the count would measure browser sessions rather than people, and any ranking built on that is trivial to inflate.
